His worries all over, engaged to a millionaire heiress
since the last January tournament in Tokyo when not only was his winning
streak of three years broken but he was beaten four times. Grand Champion
Futabayama apparently is back in top form and it will be no surprise if
he starts again on a long string of victories when the "Summer" season
opens in Tokyo in May. He threw Champion Mayedayama without trouble Monday
at Osaka to win the championship of the third annual tournament there with
13 victories out of as many bouts.
Haguroyama, stable-mate of Futabayama was high point
wrestler among those of the first ranking circle but excluding grand champions
with but one defeat.
Grand Champion Minanogawa, who was forced to enter
hospital on the eighth day of the Osaka tournament because of a body injury,
was able to leave the hospital Monday afternoon and is expected to be in
condition to enter the tournament which starts at Kyoto on Wednesday.
