DISPUTE DELAYS SUMO PROGRAM

Tachihikari Faints; Draw Between Fukuyanagi and Misugiiso

One disaster and one foolhardy dispute that delayed the program during the middle of the contests occurred in yesterday's wrestling at the Kokugikan stadium, Ryogoku. The noted wrestler, Tachihikari knocked his head against his opponent Ayaoni and fainted; he will be out of the rest of the contests, according to his attending physician.
The premier dispute of the day started when Tochigiyama, the extra champion, determined to oppose the umpire's decision. The bout between Noshirokata and Hitachiiwa was palpably a defeat for Hitachiiwa and the umpire gave the contest to Noshirokata. Tochigiyama opposed the umpire's ruling declaring that Noshirokata slipped his foot outside the ring during the tussle and that victory must go to Hitachiiwa instead. A fiery debate followed and meantime the program was stopped for fifty minutes with no decision resulting after the conference.
Fukuyanagi and Misugiiso carried on an interesting contest which resulted in a draw after both men had tried almost all of their tricks to know the other down. Dewagatake met his third defeat yesterday when he was overthrown by the veteran Kiyosegawa.
