Wrestlers Still at Loggerheads With Their Association

The leading wrestling champions, who are now holding out from the summer official matches, which started on May 11, are not likely to come to terms with the Osaka Wrestling Association.
It was agreed between the Association officials and the representatives of the champions, that the hold-outs would be unconditionally reinstated and participate in the matches from the third day, May 14, but they refused to appear on the ring, contending that none of their requests was granted.
The spectators on May 14 numbered about 80 percent of the average Sunday crowd. Before the game was begun, Iwamoto, director of the Association, thanked the spectators for their patronage in spite of the absence of the first class wrestlers.
It seems that the lovers of wrestling grew tired of the frequently occurring disputes among the Osaka wrestlers, and welcome a reform of some sort.
