National Young Men's Wrestling Matches at Meiji Shrine Planned

    A wrestling contest in the compound of the Meiji Shrine in which young men, chosen from among the members of the young men's associations in Japan, are to participate, has been proposed by Mr. Hotta, Governor of Shiga Prefecture, who, on December 20, presented his proposal to the premier, and the ministers of Home and Education.
    Mr. Hotta has been encouraging wrestling among young men, and wrestling contests between the champion wrestlers, chosen from among members of young men's associations in one city and 12 "guns" inn Shiga Prefecture, have been held yearly, under the auspices of the correspondents of the Osaka Mainichi, at Otsu. On December 17, wrestling contests between the champions of the young men's associations at Nagoya and Otsu cities were held at Otsu.
