Second Day of Japanese Wrestling Tournament

Decorated with strange symbols the Armory hall is in readiness for the second day of a Japanese wrestling tournament. The affair opened last night, large crowds of Oriental spectators being present to witness the exhibition of skill of their compatriots. The Japanese athletes perform in a peculiar "ring."
Four tall posts form the corners of the "ring," while at the base of the inclosure is a heap of sand, with a will beaten path around the edge of it.
Elaborate decorations, portraying golden dragons on silken backgrounds have been used extensively in the decorating scheme while many signs bearing examples of Japanese chirography have been used. Even the refreshment booths were elaborately decorated in a Japanese style.
