NEW KOKUGIKAN ARISES AT RYOGOKU
.

The rebuilding of the Kokugikan, the great wrestling hall at Ryogoku, which was destroyed by fire last year, has made fair progress, part of the iron frame work of the roof having been put in position and the "muneage" ceremony was celebrated on the 3rd attended by the members of the wrestling association and many guests, including Viscount Akimoto and other notables.
The new hall is 400 tsubo greater in area and 17 feet higher than the previous one which was 118 feet high. It will not be finished before the next wrestling tournament, in May, which will accordingly be held at Kudan.
