TACHIYAMA MAY NOT GO TO U.S.
The much talked of trip of Tachiyama, the famous champion wrestler, to the United States may perhaps be abandoned, reports the "Nichinichi." He returned here from his exhibition trip in the country on Sunday morning and it is reported that he has not recovered from the attacks of neuralgia from which he has been suffering since last year. Tachiyama is scheduled to sail for America with a group of wrestlers in June and says that he himself is delighted at the prospects of a visit to America, but he adds that if he suffers from neuralgia in America as he is now he will be unable to accept the proposal for a bout from American wrestlers if they challenge him and such will be a great dishonour to the Japanese wrestling world. He stated that he might perhaps give up his proposal departing for America, though it somewhat depends upon the progress of his illness.
