THE BIG MEN OF RYOGOKU

The New Year programme of the grand wrestling tournament at the Kokugikan amphitheatre, Ryogoku, was published at 5 o'clock yesterday morning and altogether 150,000 copies of the new programme were distributed in various quarters. Among many  note-worthy changes, that have been introduced, the promotion of Tochigiyama to the second official rank, Tamateyama's recovery of the official rank and the degrading of Uranohama and Ayakawa are considered to have been well merited. The sudden rise of Otohira is really worthy of notice, while the relegation of Hakkozan and Narutonada to the last rank of the elder wrestlers is said to be unprecedentedly severe. The matches of the New Year tournament will last from Jan. 12 for ten days.
