JAPANESE WRESTLERS

LEAVING FOR PANAMA FAIR NEXT MONTH

Feats of Japanese wrestling will be seen at the Panama Exhibition next month, as it has definitely been decided that the wrestlers' party, with champion wrestlers Umegatani and Nishinoumi, will leave on the 7th of next month by the Tenyo Maru.
Some trouble has been experienced in getting up a suitable number of the party and also in the choice of members. Champion wrestler Otori, who showed remarkable success at the last matches at Ryogoku and has recently no rival was first asked to join in the party, but declined on account of ill health. Nishinoumi, therefore will take his place. The party numbers fourteen in all, each camp consisting of seven.
They will discard western clothes; and insist on dressing in Japanese ceremonial attire, "montsuki and hakama."
