WRESTLING SEASON ENDS

TACHIYAMA UNBEATEN CHAMPION FOR SIXTH TIME

RESULTS OF CONTEST - NEW BLOOD IN THE NEXT GREAT BOUTS

The winter wrestling season came to a close yesterday, with the Western Camp capturing the pennant by a lead of 15 points. In the spring season the Western Camp will be shifted to the opposite side, swapping camp with the conquered wrestlers.
The Champion Tachiyama, finishing the season with a clean record, has repeated the glorious stunt for the sixth time. The Ryogoku Amphitheater will add another portrait of the champion wrestler by the next season. On the last day he was matched with Nishinoumi who, if any body except Asashio, had probably a ghost of a chance in giving a go to the invincible man. Tachiyama's iron arms fired off two or three blows of bombardment, and the wrestler of stupendous power and formidable body was sent away out of the ring.
At least two wrestlers in the "Honor Class" in the Western Camp finished the season with highly creditable records. With one black spot on his name, Ayagawa, a pride of the Hitachiyama clan, will be promoted probably to the fourth or fifth place in the honor list for the next season. Utsunomiya, a star wrestler of the same clan will make a considerable upward jump in the next list. Ryogoku and Shakagatake of the same clan will surely enter the "Honor Class," with only one or two defeats through the season.
In the Eastern Camp the black Orochigata is the certain and foremost candidate for promotion. The featherweight artist Tamateyama is another probable candidate for the honor.
The results of the chief bouts on Sunday and Monday are given below, with the asterisks marking the winners:
