WRESTLERS IN EARNEST

WESTERN CAMP STILL LEADS - TACHIYAMA EVER WINNING

The wrestling season is now in full swing, and popular enthusiasm is ballooning up. The full house crowd at the Ryogoku Amphitheater is now as regular a thing as earthquakes with volcanic eruptions.
The Western Camp is putting up a game fight to maintain the lead over the opposing side. The utmost efforts of the Eastern Camp succeeded in narrowing the gulf by only one point.
Utsunomiya, a young wonder of Hitachiyama clan, is still keeping up his winning streak. He is today scheduled with Kurosegawa, and will have to go some to keep his slat clean.   The veteran Shikainami showed superior tactics and put it over the wary Tamatsubaki. Kurosegawa had the first sweet victory yesterday by downing his formidable opponent, Asashio.
"Ozeki" Komagatake appeared in the ring for the first time in the season. He was not yet in pink form, and fell before the quick little artist, Tamateyama. The best drawing card yesterday was the bout of Nishinoumi with Isenohama, who had not yet killed jinx and lost the the Western champion. The supreme Tachiyama is defending his fame with his famous bombardment blow.
