TALLER THAN TACHIYAMA

BRITISH GIANT WHO HAS MORE INCHES THAN JAPAN'S CHAMPION.

The Japanese wrestlers drew a full tent during their three days' engagement at Mukden ending June 26, says a dispatch. It is said that the champion wrestler, Tachiyama, whose marvelous strength defies rivalry in Japan in the present day was about to take a train at Antung for Mukden, when Mr. McLorn, tidewaiter of the Chinese Customs, who is noted for his great height, was introduced to the champion. They measures their statures and the British giant had the satisfaction of being slightly taller than the great wrestler, who stands 6 ft. 2 in The champion jocularly refused to accept defeat and reminded the other of his being in shoes while he himself was in sandals.
