WESTERN WRESTLERS WIN

LARGELY DUE TO PROWESS OF INVINCIBLE OTORI

    The tenth day's wrestling bouts in the Kokugikwan Sunday were fought hard, every inch being contested to the last. Thousands of spectators who watched the game with keen attention occasionly burst into deafening applause, and much excitement prevailed.
    Among the interesting matches, that between Hitachiyama and Umegatani was expected to be the best, as they are the chiefs of the two camps; but it fell short of expectation owing to too careful attention of the umpire.
    During the ten day's contests the Western Camp won more points, and the championship flag was bestowed on the chief of the Western Camp, Umegatani. The victory of the Camp, is largely attributed to the unconquerable Otori.

 Another series of wrestling matches was held Monday at the Kokugikwan with the aid of the Komyosan temple of Akita, Enshu, and under the auspices of the Dai Nippon Bakkyo-kai, and with the support of the Tokyo Maiyu Shimbun. Matches took place Monday at the okugikwan. The meeting was attended by some 15,000 spectators. The Tokyo Maiyu Shimbun offered prizes consisting of silver cups to the winners in the following matches:
