WRESTLING MATCH LEADS TO A FIGHT

Nineteen Koreans and three Japanese are employed as hawkers by Eijiro Kobayashi, an ame dealer in Midori-cho, Honjo. On Sunday last the younger brother of the dealer had a wrestling match with a Korean which was witnessed by the Korean and Japanese employees. The Korean got the best of it so that the other Koreans ridiculed the Japanese on account of his weakness and admired the prowess of the victor. Enraged at this affront the younger brother of the dealer shouted aloud: "No Japanese is defeated by Koreans". Meanwhile a fight had broken out between the Japanese and Koreans. Peace, however, was restored by Kobayashi. The Koreans thought that the latter had been partial and went to the Honjo police station to ask policemen for a fair judgment. Being admonished by the policemen the Koreans left.
