Suspension of the Ekoin Ring.

The City Alderman's Council which met on Monday is reported to have come unanimously to a decision, in connection with the measures for the suppression of the pest, to put a stop to the wrestling matches in the Ekoin Ring which was opened on Sunday. The Council consequently dispatched Mr. Yoshida, Assistant Mayor of the City, to the Metropolitan Public Office for the purpose of giving urgent advice on the question. The Council's proposal has been favourably accepted. Mr. Oura, Chief of the Metropolitan Police Office, was to have issued on Tuesday a notification ordering an immediate closing of the ring.
A later report has it that the Metropolitan Police have decided not to suspended the wrestling performances.
