The tobacco pipe that Ozutsu, the wrestling champion, has, is a wonder. It weighs two pounds, and is entirely made of silver with a dragon in relief. This pipe formerly belonged to the daimyo of the Hachinohe clan, who was a great lover of wrestling and who ordered Kikukawa, a famous artist in the Shogunate regime to make a pipe worthy of his gigantic body. With the collapse of the Shogunate regime, the pipe passed into the hands of a less princely person, Mr. Oura, Aomono-cho, Nihonbashi-ku. He gave the pipe to his favourite wrestler, whose name we have given above.
