The Wrestling Ring

Opened on the 15th the wrestling ring at the historical ground of Ekoin Temple, Ryogoku, is going on entirely satisfactorily, both in regard to spectators and weather. The withdrawal of "Konishiki" from the ring is compensated for by the re-appearance of "Ozutsu", the giant of the arena, who has now recovered perfect health. In the "Eastern camp," "Hitachiyama" "Genjiyama," and "Inagawa" continued winning up to Friday, while in the opposite camp "Ozutsu," "Umenotani," and "Ara-iwa" enjoyed a similar honour. The contest of skill between those three pairs, to come later on and before the closing day, will be eagerly watched by the ring going public.
