The Winner of the "Jiji" Kesho Mawashi.

Up to Monday, that is the eighth day of the wrestling matches, only three - Genjiyama, Hitachiyama and Umenotani - held the high record of "not touching the ground." But of these Genjiyama has scored only three victories, the remaining five matches ending a draw. The other two are at present holding equal honours, both scoring seven victories and one draw. The prospect of winning the Jiji Shimpo's "Kesho-mawashi" or ornamental apron is almost equally hopeful for both. Hitachiyama has fully realised his admirers' expectations and Umenotani surprised even his enthusiastic but somewhat anxious admirers by his prowess in the hard struggles with Asashiwo and Konishiki. The two wrestlers, after a day's rest out of respect for the Imperial Princess' funeral yesterday, will be the better in form for a decisive match to-day.
